On Tuesday Prime minister Narendra Modi announced that Rs.500 and Rs.1000-rupee note are now illegal as of midnight. Prime minister Narendra Modi said that making these notes illegal from this midnight is a major crack down on black money, fake currency and corruption.

Prime minister Narendra Modi said that those people hold these Rs500 and Rs1000 rupee notes they can deposit their note in their bank accounts from November 10 to 30 December. And you can also exchange your notes in Head Post-office and Sub Post-offices. But for few days you can only withdraw Rs10,000 rupees per day and Rs20,000 per week. And this limit of withdraw will be increased in the few coming days. And the exchange of these notes is also limit to Rs4,000 rupees and at the time of exchange these notes you must have to produce you Govt. Identity like Aadhar card, Voter id card, PAN card, Passport etc.

The Banks are also close on November 9 for public use. And ATM’s are also closed and on some places ATM’s are also closed on November 10.

Limitations on ATM Withdraw:

From November 11, you can withdraw money from ATM’s but the withdraw limit is only Rs2,000 rupees per card in a day, and this will increase to Rs4,000 rupees per car in a day.

Some places where you still use these Rs500 and Rs1000 rupees’ notes:

There are some places where you still use these note’s and in these places these notes are only accepted till November 11 midnight. So, these are the places where you can use these notes.
  • In Govt. and private hospitals.
  • Railway, bus and airlines ticket booking counters
  • Petrol Pumps, gas stations.
  • Govt. milk booths.

RBI issued the new currency notes of Rs500 and Rs2,000 rupees from November 10 onwards. And these notes have totally new designs.
